This artist's work is some of the most beautiful Western and
Native American art I have seen. Don't miss this one.

I was going to put John Wayne links here,
but have since found out that the Wayne family
has ordered most of the Duke's links removed
from the Internet. What a shame...I don't think
he would've approved of their avarice.

You might be a Redneck if..

Your wife/sister complains about that framed portrait of Hulk Hogan over the fireplace.
More than one living relative is named after a Southern Civil War general.
You think the stock market has a fence around it.
You think the O.J. trial was the big Sunkist and Minutemaid taste test.
You've ever lost a loved one to kudzu.
Your boat has not left the driveway in 15 years.
Your coffee table used to be a telephone cable spool.
You keep a can of Raid on the kitchen table.
You've ever used a toilet seat as a picture frame.
Your home has more miles on it than your car.
Your Christmas tree is still up in February.
You've ever been arrested for loitering.
You think that potted meat on a saltine is an hors d'ouvre.
You hammer bottle caps into the frame of your front door to make it look nice.
You've ever shot anyone for looking at you.
Your wife can climb a tree faster than your cat.
Your momma has "ammo" on her Christmas list.
You've totaled every car you've ever owned.
Momma taught you how to flip a cigarette.
Tiered Skirt (Broomstick Skirt)

3 yards fabric, (I used contrasting for the center)
Note: this yardage will make a skirt which will fit up to 32" waist and 40" hips. Adjust yardage for larger sizes. The finished length is 33". If a longer or shorter skirt is desired, divide amount to be lengthened or shortened by three, then add  or subtract that amount from each tier when cutting.
1. Cut  the following pieces from fabric: Top tier, one crosswise width of fabric 12-1/2" long;  middle tier, two crosswise widths 12-1/2" long; bottom tier, 4 lengths 12-1/2" long.
2. Fold over and stitch 1" casing for waistband elastic at one long side of top tier. Use pins to mark lower edge of tier into fourths.
3. Sew middle tier pieces together at one short side. Use pins to mark fourths at both upper and lower edge. Run two rows of stitches at upper edge and gather to fit lower edge of top tier.  Match marks and pin, right sides together, evenly distributing gathers. Stitch. Turn and press seam up toward top tier. Topstitch 1/4" form seam on upper tier to secuire and reinforce gathers.
4. Sew all four bottom  pieces together at short sides. Mark, gather and stitch to middle tier as above.
5. Sew back seam of skirt, leaving waistline elastic casing open. Turn a narrow hem at bottom edge and machine stitch.
6. Cut elastic to a comfortable length  for waist plus 1". Insert into top casing, sew ends securely  and sew opening closed.
To make the pleats, wrap the skirt around a broomstick or dry twisted. You can also dry the skirt in a leg of pantyhose, twisting before inserting.
